I can’t move forward after clicking “Start Pre-Check-in.” What should I do?

Ensure your information is accurate. The "Reference (Booking or Agency)" typically refers to the booking confirmation from the hotel or your booking channel. If you don’t have this, no problem! Simply input your arrival date (check-in date) and last name. If your name is unique, you can also log in using just your first and last name.

What if my reservation can’t be found?

Verify you’ve selected the correct hotel. Ensure you’re on www.royaltonresorts.com, select your hotel, and navigate to the "Online Pre Check-in" section from the menu.

I can’t click “Click Here to complete the check-in” on the guest screen.

This likely means some information is missing. Click "Edit" below the name, complete the required fields, and try again.

What types of documents are accepted for scanning?

Only passports and official identity documents are accepted. Driver’s licenses, Global Entry cards, membership cards (Costco, etc.) are not accepted.

How can I ensure the system recognizes my document when scanning it?

  • We recommend taking a photo with your mobile phone camera and uploading it manually instead of using the tool’s scanning function. The photo is usually recognized more easily.
  • Make sure there is good lighting, as poor lighting may prevent the system from recognizing it.
  • Place the document horizontally and take the photo with your phone in vertical position, ensuring the document covers almost the entire image.
  • Confirm that the photo is not cropped after taking it.
  • If the light creates reflections, hold the document at an angle to avoid glare in the image.


For passports:

  • The signature must be visible. If it is not on the main page, also take a photo of the page where it appears.
  • Ensure the reference code is clearly visible.

 

For identity documents (IDs):

  • A photo must be taken of both sides of the document (front and back).
  • The signature must be visible.
  • The reference code on the back must be clearly visible.

Why can’t I upload my documents after clicking “Scan”?

Ensure you select either "ID" or "Passport" in the pop-up window. If you are traveling internationally, choose your passport.

What part of my passport should I scan?

Scan the page with your photo and information. If your signature is on a separate page, scan that as well.

Why can’t I scan documents using my laptop?

Some laptop webcams may not provide the required clarity. Use your mobile phone to take a clear picture or scan your document and upload it as a JPG. Alternatively, complete the process on your phone.

I filled out all the fields, but I still can’t confirm my check-in.

Ensure every field is completed, you’ve agreed to the terms and conditions, and you’ve signed the form.

Am I done after completing the online pre-check-in?

Yes! Upon arrival, head to the "Fast Track" lane for online pre-check-in. Please have your ID ready to validate your details.

Is an email required?

Yes! A valid email is necessary for us to communicate any updates regarding your confirmation. We recommend opting in to receive communications to stay in touch with the hotel.

Is my information safe?

Absolutely. We adhere to the highest cybersecurity standards. Your information is securely stored and will be deleted upon your check-out.

Why do you need my documentation?

This is a standard hospitality requirement to validate your check-in. Rest assured, your information is only used by us and never shared with third parties.

How much does the online pre-check-in cost?

It’s completely free! We offer this service to help you fast-track to your vacation.

Can I complete this at the hotel?

While we recommend completing the pre-check-in before arrival, you can also do it in the lobby and still use the "Fast Track" lane.

Will the "Fast Track" lane save me time?

Yes! Although it may seem busy at times, the process is much quicker than the regular check-in line.
